Our 4th & 5th class recently visited Doneraile Court & Wildlife Park where they got a tour of the building and grounds. Our pupils were taught about the various trees and plants within the park. They were also shown the various animals and birds that live within the park. This was a great opportunity to learn about the biodiversity of a National Park which ties in with the theme of our current Green Flag.

The history and stories associated with the bridges and the river dam were explained. Within the house our pupils were were given a tour of the various rooms and were told a vast amount stories associated with them. At the end of the tour there was just enough time to take in some playtime in the playground before the return to school. Thanks to those who helped to organise and give the tour.
